Hypoluxo Real Estate

As the heart of Palm Beach County, Hypoluxo, Florida is just minutes away from West Palm Beach and the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Ideally located along the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway, the town offers beautiful views combines with a rich history. With a name derived from a Seminole term that aptly translates to “water all 'round – no get out,” Hypoluxo is an excellent option for those who enjoy spending time on the beach or engaging in water-based activities. It is because of the surrounding waters that the beachfront town also has the unique honor of being one of a few towns with “Barefoot Mailman”. These mailmen delivered the mail by rowboat from West Palm Beach during the 19th century. After arriving to West Palm Beach, they faced the arduous task of walking 60 miles along the beaches to deliver the mail. On average, it took these mailmen 6 days to complete one round trip. Although Hypoluxo is a small town, it offers several points of interest. One of these is the town's administration facility, which is built in the old Key West style that reflects how it would have looked when the Barefoot Mailman were delivering mail to the area.
